Zeitgeist Journal & Diary
A journaling app that captures your small, everyday moments and turns them into a living timeline of your life. It's great
I was excited about it when it was first announced, and now that I’ve been able to use it the past couple days, I am excited to see where it goes next! It’s so fun and useful, and makes me want to journal (knowing there’s a limit to it also helps me to not overthink. Responding to my own thoughts (like they are comments, or bookmarking thoughts) is a really creative idea. It’s like a journal, but in the style of social media, and it’s just a really great idea.

Timeline with Mentions. See your days as a clean, scrolling feed of short notes and photos. Drop in @mentions to link moments to the people who were there. It feels like messaging your future self. Fast, casual, and frictionless. Scroll back and watch small details add up to a bigger story.

Your Profile: Activity & Streak. A simple dashboard shows how often you’ve written, day by day. The graph makes consistency visible at a glance, and the streak counter nudges you to keep going. No guilt, just a gentle pulse of progress. It turns “I should journal” into “I already am.”

Person Profile. Tap a name to see every entry you’ve shared with them. Trips, dinners, inside jokes, all in one place. It’s a living scrapbook of a relationship without any extra effort. Add an avatar to make it feel personal. Over time, you get a clear view of what you did together and when.

Map of Your Moments. Entries can include location, so memories land on a map, not just a date. Zoom out to see the places that keep showing up in your life. Traveling or exploring a new neighborhood? Your journal quietly builds a map-shaped memory. It’s optional, private, and surprisingly delightful.

Day Detail. Open any date to replay it in order. Notes, photos, people, places. It’s the clearest way to remember how the day actually felt, from morning to night. Skim the highlights or linger on the small stuff. Either way, every day has a home.

Compose Screen. Writing is instant: type a sentence, add a photo, and keep
moving. Use @
to mention people and select tags to add quick context. The text area
grows with your thoughts, so nothing gets in the way. It’s built for capturing life as it happens.

Calendar with Activity Heatmap. The month view shows which days are full and which are quiet, using a subtle activity indicator. Tap any date to jump right in. It’s a calm overview of your month that makes patterns obvious. When you see the gaps, it’s easy to fill them.
